Default stock speakers no sound.

Just bought this 983000gt . The stock stereo hooked up and powered on even antenna. but no sound from any off the speakers. Even steering wheel controls work. Could the stock amp gone south. The previous owner Took his system out and left me with stock system. Is there a fuse somewhere for the stock amp. I hope I don't have to trace this down.

My front speakers didnt work when I bought my car, I took the door panel off. Low and behold they werent even connected. So, this guy probably didnt feel like taking his time and didnt connect the wires to the speakers. No biggy.

The speakers are all hooked up and the amp also. but there are some hookups behind the rear seats under the carpet a bin cable and a small connector what do these hookup too anybody know. could this be the problem or a bad amp. The po did leave all connections intact but used a separate amp because I found a large red cable and a ground hooked up. I just want stock. Thanks

They most likely went to the original CD player that was mounted behind the rear seat.

I would think the head unit or amp could be fried. If you haven't found the fuses yet it's left of where you place your left leg while driving. But there aren't fuses for speakers, just the head unit which you mentioned powers on.

The round connector is the cable for the stock CD changer it comes in the car no matter what as far as i know. Or it could be from the previous owner. I have the stock infinity amp from my 98 vr-4 laying around somewhere if you want it let me know. I'm going with the previous owner either put blown speakers in one of which may be shorting out, or didnt connect them correctly/at all.
