What's my car worth?

I might be selling the car depending on what I can get for it so I'm trying to see what a fair price would be. I'm not expecting much. This is not a sale thread, don't offer $500 . Most of you guys have seen it, and know it's in pretty good shape. The whole thing was redone 2 years ago from top to bottom. In 06-07 there was over $30K in mods done to get it show ready, and there are receipts to back it all up. The car was bought new by myself and my ex in 99', had some small work done to it over the next few years and then I took it to what you've seen. Here's a basic rundown on what it has, it's not a complete list, because I never remember it all, but it will give you an idea.

2 Bulk pack boxes of Dynamat Extreme (nothing rattles in the car, but it's LOUD)

The box was custom made and sits flush in the trunk, topped with black vinyl

The car has had some media attention, but I don't know if that helps kick the price at all. I have receipts for everything ever bought for this car, and I know that helps. Everything that has been put on this car I've tried to get the best out there, I'm just thinking about selling it now and picking up a new 335i and playing with that for a while. It would be nice to have a sharp car that can be daily driven for a while.

What would be a fair asking price for my car? I figured you guys would know better then anyone what the things worth.

Good lord its going to be hard to price your car. A normal mint condition 99 with 100k on the clock is worth around 8,000$

You obviously have 30,000$ in mods done to the car so lets work figures from there. How much do you expect to get back from your modifications? 20%(6,000$) 30%(9,000$) 40%(12,000$)? 50%(15,000$)? 60%(18,000$)? Then tak on the 8,000$ for what the car would normally cost.

There are 2 different prices. Whats fair and What people will actually pay. Its tough man.. If had had that car I'd do TT & AWD conversions and keep it. I couldnt part with my green car as much as I thought about it. Looking at your car you have way more into it then I do with my green car.

This is tough man. And Something I couldn't fathom doing unless necessary which in your case it seems absolutely necessary damn. But as far as pricing man I would maybe ask for 20 and see what you can get from there. Cars in nice condition and has luxury high end touches like suede and paint so take them for all their worth.

This is really my problem. With how much I have into it, I'm taking a HUGE hit by selling it, but I just want something new to play with. I don't have to get rid of it, and f all I can get for it is 12-13 I'll just hold on to it. If I could get 20, it'd be gone and I'll use that for a deposit for the new Bimmer. Listen as many replies as you may get none will give you what you want man hold on and keep it and don't make a life long mistake that you'll regret year after year when you tell people about the car and they turn their head like yeah whatever!
