Rep Power: 12 ![]() | Since posting my VW Passat for sale, I got couple of inquiries about my new occupation, so here are more details. I?ll try to keep as short as possible. I have an auto dealer?s license, which lets me access any car auction in US. I started recently and currently I am only doing it part time, but so far it?s been nothing but fun There are several car auctions in FL, but I only go to West Palm Beach and sometimes Ft. Lauderdale/Miami (I would like to go to Orlando, but need to buy trailer for that). Every Wednesday West Palm?s auction has a sale preview, where I inspect cars, take pictures and drive them around for a little bit to make sure that everything?s ok. Then I go home and run VINs. Black books give me a general idea how much the car is worth, and then I know how much I wanna pay for it. Actual auction happens on Thursday, and they have about 1500 cars there weekly. I can get you pretty much any car from Yugo to Rolls Royce at the wholesale prices as long as you have cash (you can finance too, but this needs to be done beforehand, which means that you need to have a check from your lender on Thursday). Here?s quick ?plan of actions?: 1. Tell me what you?re looking for. The more you tell me, the better it is because it narrows down my search; 2. I research on Wednesday, and I give you all info and pictures Wednesday night; 3. If it?s a go, I will require a 5-10% deposit before I buy the car because there are certain auction fees involved. We can meet if you live in the area, otherwise - Paypal. This deposit is non-refundable IF you change your mind and don?t want to buy the car after I bought it. Of course, the deposit is refundable if the car is not as described. 4. I would have a car Thursday afternoon. I would like to complete the sale on the same day, but it?s not a must. The dealership is located in Royal Palm Beach, paperwork takes less than an hour. 5. My fee would consist of few-to-several hundred dollars, depending on how much work was involved. I would show you how much I paid for the car for a transaction to be transparent. FYI: when I?m selling to general public, I make sure my car is priced the lowest on the market, because I?m only doing this part-time and don?t want to get stuck with the cars (although they serve me as a daily drivers . In this case, I would be making 3-4 times less what I make on the regular sale, but obviously it?s less work because I don?t need to look for a buyer. Bottom line, you would get a deal nobody can beat, where you almost could turn around and sell the car for a profit if you like. And I promised to be short LOL... Well, I tried I?m sure I missed out something too, so for that or any other questions, please post here, PM me, e-mail peillis@comcast.net or call 561-309-6554. |

Rep Power: 75 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | These are cars of all years and makes right? Not just the newer stuff. Obviously the new stuff would be the easiest to find but some things that are a little bit older could be found by you right? I might be interested in something then. Just realized how dumb my question was since you said you can get anything from a YUGO to a Rols. If you can get a YUGO then you can get what I'd be interested in. I might have to use your services really soon then. ![]() __________________ Only member of the 10,000 post club. It is lonely at the top. Rep Power: 31 ![]() ![]() | You could've sold me a car if you made me aware of this two weeks ago Oh well, I had some guy here in Orlando go to the auction and pick one up for me; he charges a flat fee of $690, I think it was. |

on special cars like that, owners usually sell it themselves, i didn't see NSX at the auction yet. i only have seen 1 VR4 ('92, 50k miles, and i missed it ), and tomorrow there's actually 300ZX twin turbo selling in Ft. Lauderdale (it has 180XXX miles though)

Rep Power: 75 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Find a Galant VR4 in good shape and give me details on it and I'll most likely buy that. Gotta know details about it first before I can say for sure, but I'm looking for one right now. |

As far for the prices, every case is different. Depends on many things like in what shape the car is, title history etc. Depends on how much money the selling party has in the car - sometimes they just wanna get rid of the thing (big dealerships usually), sometimes they asking too much and car wouldn't sell few weeks in a row... Heck, even depends how many bidders are there. So i cannot tell you for sure how much the car will cost. I could tell you what sold for how much, but then again, you might see two exact cars and one sold for 6000, the other one for 3000. It doesn't mean that the second one was a much better deal. Maybe it was missing the engine, maybe it's salvage title, there could be many different things. I can tell you though, that you will pay more for a comparable car anywhere else, that's for sure. And if you still would like to see some statistics, pick a car and i will give you some recent sales data ![]()
