Rep Power: 16 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | They're going to have to fit one way or another. The compressor cover is big enough if i want to go with a bigger wheel it will be a bolt up and don't have to modify the plumbing. |

You planning on putting them over the trans? What hot side are you using? T3? T4? I haven't ever seen rods turned using that kind of lathe before. Very interesting. Please tell me those are not 6g72 or 74 rods your removing that much metal from to make them fit... because that cap is already the weakest part of a rod. Removing more than a few thousandths will drastically weaken the rod. I know your a smart guy and already know this kind of thing... but I figure I would throw it out there. Rep Power: 16 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | They're a T3 .63A/R. exhaust housing. Garrett cartridge 3071R with a T04E .60A/R comp cover. The rods are being turned down to a 6G75 rod width, to fit the crank. They will be the same size as a 75 rod big end. |

Rep Power: 16 ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok now I look like a fool....what is the difference between T3 and T4? How many other types of exhaust housing are out there? Sorry I'm not very good with turbo knowledege but I admit that this T3 and T4 codes have been passing by me a lot and I'm wondering what are they exactly used for...does it have to do with turbo kits like TD04 and TD05? __________________ AWD SLuTT Conversion, AWS Delete, TT JDM Motor swap 8.5:1 CR 3SX pistons, Supra Fuel Pump, 3" DP, Custom Cat back, Custom FMIC, Light Weight wind shield, One push start button Ignition, , Falken ZR-500 Series Tires, AEM EMS, Intake Racing Air Filter, HKS SSQV, Aluminum IC pipes, AEM Serial Gauge, etc etc.![]() More to come soon........... ![]() ![]() |

Rep Power: 40 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Exactly. TD04, TD05, T4,T3 ect are all types of exhaust flanges on turbos. TD04 and TD05 happen to be mitsubishi based turbos T3 and T4 are most often garret based turbos T04E is yet another type... though I dont know who developed it or who uses it the most. |

Rep Power: 16 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I went with a garrett T3 flange instead of a mitsubishi flange, because it's been proven to be more efficent for this size of turbo. Their T04E compressor cover is very popular and can be used with many size compressor wheels for easy adaptability. The T4 flange is used on even bigger turbos for greater flow capability. |
