Rep Power: 13 ![]() | I have a chance to get my VR4 back after it sitting pretty much for 2 years (I remember the day it left on a tow truck lol) This is the deal. The car is completely gutted pretty much (in the engine bay) The person that I gave the car to was supposed to swap the engine and whatever electronics he needed from the front clip into his (MY) car and everything is happy. Well, he never got around to doing it, and he gave the car to another person to do it. They never got around to doing it either, so now I still have the title, and i have the car and the front clip (provided I can come get it). Timing couldn't be better either, since I fear the headgasket on my beater car is about to blow, and I plan on moving out of state halfway through next year. WHAT I WANT: I need someone to lend me their services (facilities/space, cherry picker, help, whatever) I need someone to help me do this since I can't kick everyone out of the garage to swap an engine. I have plenty of tools (minus specialty tools and a cherry picker) and I actually have a friend with a tow truck (SWEET) So I'd say i can go pretty much wherever in Ga or FL. I just need the space and some time to do it. Not so much interested in making the car hella fast, I just want it to run GOOD. Meaning, drive it to oklahoma without worrying about bearings or timing belt on the way there. Advice/comments/suggestions. Discuss. PS: This definitely would NOT be favor work. After owning this, I understand you gotta pay to play. I just need my damn car back. |

Rep Power: 13 ![]() | Uhmmm... Jake I just need to get out of jacksonville. I get off probation (lol) october 8, and then I am free to roam about the country ------------------------ VR4 girl No you didnt. ----------------------- Evan You da man ![]() Jake's friend Dan offered his services to bang this thing out and get it running. I forsee about 1200 bucks @ precision machine getting the engine and transmission cleaned up before it actually runs good. The front valve cover on the front clip was taken on and about 5 pints of water were siphoned out of the engine and it had to be broken loose before i started spinning again |

Rep Power: 32 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Florida3S doesn't rep felons jk, I just read the post about what happened, thats some crazy shit threshold braking on a bike is hard as hell, I usually end up locking the rear too, but I barely have any experience doing it. When you stopped by Shelby's awhile back with the cast on, is that when all that happened? |
